Beautifully bound with burgundy cloth boards with gilt decoration and titles to the front and gilt titles to the spine. The cloth has slightly faded with a slight abrasive mark to the rear. The top edge of the text block is gilt while the fore edge remains untrimmed. There is a previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. The pages are lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean, illustrated. pp. xvii +470. Overall a good copy.
