Green cloth boards with heavy gilt decoration to spine and front board. Bumping to corners and some shelf wear to top and tail of spine. All edges gilt. There is minor foxing to the end papers. Book plate has previously been removed from front paste down leaving residue of label. Contains numerous b/w illustrations within the text and a tissue guarded frontispiece. The contents are very clean and bright. pp xxxii + 286 + list of works by james Lane Allen. This is a very nice intact copy.
