Uniformly bound in calf with black label bands, gilt titling and decoration to spine, gilt border decoration to boards; marbled end papers and edges. Shelf rubbing and wear particularly to extremities with small loss of leather on volume 2. Contents of both volumes are clean with only occasional spotting. Frontispiece is detached but present in vol 1. One black spine band (of two) missing on vol one, does not affect title. pp311 + 304
