279 pp. Bound in blue cloth with blind stamp decoration to upper and lower boards. Gilt lettering to spine. Previous owner's inscription to front free end paper. A newspaper obituary for the author has been stuck to the front paste down end paper by a previous owner. "Mr Smart died at Edinburgh on Friday October 19, 1866" has been written above the obituary. The obituary for A.Smart's wife has also been stuck in. Light rubbing to boards and hinge, edges and corners a little bumped. Still bright, overall very good condition. Scarce title.
