Pictorial dust jackets in good condition although with chipping and wear to the extremities of volume 1 and a piece missing to one corner on volume 4. Red cloth boards are clean and in good condition despite a little wear and discolouration to volume 2. Previous owners' inscription to the front free end-paper to volume 1. Internally the pages are clean with the occasional spot of foxing although there is some foxing throughout to volume 2. Volume I, The Birth Of Britain, Published 1957, third edition, pp. xxi + 416. Volume II, The New World, Published 1956, first edition, pp. xi + 344. Volume III, The Age Of Revolution, Published 1957, first edition, pp. xi + 332. Volume IV, Published 1958, first edition pp. xi + 322. Overall a good set of Churchill's iconic History of the English People.
