Handsome dark blue leather binding with gilt edging and decorative gilt spine. Spine shows minor wear. Text block is marbled and slightly faded. Endpapers have beautiful marbling in excellent condition. Two pages of the front free end papers have ink signatures all over from 1944, plus an inscription from '44, one page (not marbled) of the back end papers have pencil signatures written all over, otherwise pages are clean and bright throughout. Illustrated frontispiece. pp.362. Overall a very good copy.
