Beautifully bound with decorated front board and spine. In overall good condition with the front board clean and bright, there is a little fading along the extremities of the rear board however. Spine sunned with closed tear along the top edge and fraying to the base. Previous owners' inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1914. Pages toned with foxing throughout despite this the pages remain generally clean. Illustrated with full page monochrome frontispiece with a further eleven plates throughout however the plate to page 117 is missing. pp. 338 + 32. Overall a good copy.
