This stunning complete set of the works of Jane Austen, which consists of the following volumes; Sense & Sensibility Three Volumes, 2nd Edition, London: Printed for T. Egerton, Whitehall. Three volumes, 12 mo. Vol. 1 306 pp. i-iv 1, no half title, verso blank. London: Printed C. Roworth. Vol. II 278 pp. London: Printed C. Roworth. Vol III. 294 pp. London: Printed C. Roworth. Bound in half sprinkled calf with marble sides, full decorative gilt spines with red title bands, and green labels. Gilt inlay to front and rear boards with ‘LOND1813’ to the bottom of each volume. After the first edition of Sense sold out by July of 1813, the text was then reportedly revised by Austen herself. This second edition was first advertised on Friday 29th October 1813 and published the same day, with a price of 18s on boards. Published during Austen’s lifetime. (Gilson A2) 

Pride And Prejudice 1st Edition in Three Volumes, London: printed for T. Egerton. Three volumes 12 mo., Vol 1. 307 pp.-iv no half titles. Vol. II 239 pp. i-iv. Vol. III. 323 pp. i-iv. 
Bound in full sprinkled calf with double ruled gilt boards, red leather title bands in gilt, and green labels reading ‘AUSTEN’ with volume number. ‘LOND 1813’ to the bottom of the spines in gilt, with gilt inlay to the inside front and rear boards. Regarded by many as Austen’s finest work. This particular example stands as one of the finest of the 1st editions that St Mary’s Books have seen. 
Emma 1st Edition in Three volumes, London: printed for John Murray. Three volumes. Vol. I. features a dedication to the Prince Regent; 322 pp. with no half titles. Vol. II. 351 pp. Vol. III. 363 pp. with a list of other titles published: "Lately were published by the author of Emma, 1. Sense & Sensibility Second Edition, 2. Pride & Prejudice Second Edition, 3. Mansfield Park.”

Gilt inlay to front and rear boards with ‘LOND1813’ to the bottom of each volume. Northanger Abbey & Persuasion 4 Volumes 1st Edition, London: printed for John Murray, 1818. Four volumes, 12 mo. Vol 1. 300 pp. + xix [Biographical notice of the author & Postscript] Vol. II. 331 pp. Vol. III 280 pp. The start of Persuasion. Vol. IV. 308 pp.
Bound in half sprinkled calf with marble sides, full decorative gilt spines with red title bands, and green labels. Gilt inlay to front and rear boards with ‘LOND1818’ to the bottom of each volume. A total number of 1750 copies were printed of the first edition in December of 1817 at a cost of £238.178s. The work was first advertised in The Courier No. 7861 on 17th December 1817. Initial sales were rapid, totalling 1409 copies (Gilson A9). Published after Austen’s death. A fabulous opportunity to purchase this seminal work of English Literature.
