First Edition Hard Back. Beautifully illustrated dust jacket in good condition with the front cover clean and bright. The rear cover is a little discoloured with a small closed tear along the top edge. Spine has a small piece missing to the base with the remains of a small circular label to the top. Original green cloth boards in excellent condition with bright gilt titles to the spine. Previous owners' inscription in green ink to the front paste down and to the top of the first chapter. Pages otherwise are clean and bright throughout. pp. 222. Overall a good copy. Col. Powell recalls India in the days when all British officers had wonderful opportunity for big game hunting. This is a book about India, the land of tigers, the land of a thousand lures....
