Hard Back First Edition. Bound in the publishers' original cream cloth with beautifully decorated boards. The binding although sound is a little discoloured with wear to the front right hand corner and toning to the spine. Pictorial endpapers. Beautifully illustrated title page and frontispiece with the occasional full page black and white line drawing and vignette to the top of each chapter. Pages are clean throughout with just the very occasional spot of foxing. pp. xix + 432. Overall a good copy.
