First Edition Hard Back. Original green cloth boards with titles printed in black on the spine. The boards although in good condition are faded especially to the spine with light bumping to the corners. Previous owners' small sticker, bookplate, and neat inscriptions to the front free endpapers. Cracking to the front internal hinge however, the binding is still fairly tight. Pages are very lightly toned with the very occasional spot of foxing otherwise the pages are very clean throughout. Beautifully illustrated with colour and monochrome plates and folding maps. pp. xv + 365. Overall a good copy.
