Elaborate boards with a gilt memorial cross, still very bright. Pages contain 72 glorious illustrations on wood, thoughtful and intricate, and accompanying informative text. Boards show a little scuffing and general wear. Internally there is some foxing and the last illustration has a few minor rips, but the binding is tight. pp.x+159. Overall fair to good. An interesting 19th century production.
